Whole Life Ministries,  helps to address the immediate and emergency financial needs of individuals, families, and seniors, and provides the first steps towards rehabilitation and development. The program combines emergency financial relief with job training and other life skills programs.  

Emergency Financial Assistance

The Lighthouse Foundation offers emergency financial assistance for families facing a crisis situation in which they need temporary help to pay their rent or utility bills.  Anyone receiving financial assistance is required to subsequently attend one of several financial literacy classes offered at various times and locations throughout Butler County.

Banzai Financial Literacy

Banzai has partnered with The Lighthouse Foundation, powered by Armco Credit Union, to bring you clear, in-depth lessons to help you dive into the financial topics you care most about. Jobs for Life is a global nonprofit organization that engages and equips local Christian outreach organizations and churches to address the impact of joblessness through the dignity of work.  Powerful things happen in the class. Dignity is restored. Character is built. Lives are transformed.  


The Lighthouse Foundation, offers this life changing 8-week class twice per year.  Ideal candidates for the class are adults who are unemployed, underemployed, returning to the community after a period of incarceration, or recent high school graduates who are unsure of their future plans.  

Cooking with Friends

The Lighthouse Foundation, In partnership with Fishbone Ministries in the city of Butler, offers Cooking with Friends which pairs nutritional education with hands on experience as students will learn healthy meal planning and preparation,  how to budget each week for their meals, and how to make healthy choices based on nutritional information while they prepare and cook a take home meal for their families.  Classes  are offered the 3rd Thursday of each month.
